U.S. Army Disenrollment for Shoplifting
A female ROTC Cadet was processed for disenrollment based on allegations that she committed the crime of Shoplifting while attending summer training at Fort Knox, KY for what is known as Leader Development and Assessment Course (LDAC). The Cadet maintained her innocence to any wrongdoing and claimed that the incident was based on an oversight or negligence on her part. She elected her right to a disenrollment board and retained the services of Attorney John L. Calcagni III to represent her. Following the board, the Cadet was retained in ROTC and will ultimately be allowed to become a Commissioned Officer.
