October 2012 Multiple Outstanding Warrants
Outstanding Warrants
A former New England resident had multiple warrants for his arrest in two different states. The warrants alleged probation violations and failures to appear for payment reviews and probation violation hearings. The resident who had moved away from New England in order to get a fresh start in life sought to surrender himself before the various Courts that issued the warrants and to clear his name. The resident hired Attorney John L. Calcagni to tackle this important task. In preparation for his clientÓ³ surrender Attorney Calcagni first made advance contact with each of the Courts from which the warrants had issued and the respective state prosecutorsÒ offices.
Attorney Calcagni successfully negotiated for his clientÓ³ surrender before each Court with the assurance that the client would not be incarcerated or otherwise detained. Attorney Calcagni also negotiated that in exchange for his clientÓ³ surrender and payment of court costs each warrant would be vacated and their respective cases closed. Following these preparations the resident traveled back to New England and met with Attorney Calcagni. The next day the two traveled together court by court had each warrant vacated and each case closed. As a result of these efforts the resident finally closed this unfinished chapter in his life.
