November 2013 Operating Unregistered and Uninsured Motor Vehicle
Police Report:
Police charged a motorist with operating an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle. The charges apparently followed a random registration check performed by a patrol officer. The motorist in this case was not even stopped by police. Instead the officer who confirmed the vehicle was not registered or insured sent a court summons to the motoristӳ home. She was unaware that her registration or insurance were invalid. Unbeknownst to her the motoristӳ husband was supposed to have renewed the coverage but inadvertently failed to do so. The motorist hired Attorney John L. Calcagni III to defend her against these charges. The motorist owned and operated a horse farm and was in no position to risk having her license suspended from this incident. On the morning of arraignment Attorney Calcagni successfully negotiated to have these charges and the case dismissed.
Criminal Case Result:
- Operating Unregistered and Uninsured Motor Vehicle: Dismissed
